6.4.4. System of injection of fuel
Removal and installation of the distributor of fuel (4-and 6-cylinder line engines)
SEQUENCE OF WORKS

Removal
1. Switch off ignition.
PREVENTION
During the works with fuel system naked flame, the heated and hot objects should not be near. You do not smoke. Existence of the fire extinguisher is obligatory. Work in well aired room as vapors of fuel are poisonous. The fuel system is under pressure. At a rassoyedineniye of its elements fuel spraying therefore it is necessary to work in goggles is possible. Surely collect the flowed-out fuel by a rag.

2. Remove a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
PREVENTION
When performing this operation the codes entered into electronic memory devices, for example a code of radio or the radio tape recorder are removed.

3. Remove a cross branch pipe of the air filter.

4. Remove a hose of 1 (fig. 5.43) of ventilation of a case of the engine.
NOTE
In fig. 5.43 the engine of earlier release is shown.

5. Disconnect a vacuum hose 4.
6. Turn off bolts 12 of collars of fastening of a fuel-supply line 11, at the same time nuts 8 should not fall down.
7. Disconnect bringing 9 and returnable the 11th fuel-supply lines. For this purpose turn off a cap nut and turn out a hollow bolt 13.
PREVENTION
Collect the flowed-out fuel by a rag.

8. Disconnect from fuel nozzles contact sockets (the shooter above).
9. Turn off bolts 7 and remove plugs 2.
10. Carefully take out the distributor 3 fuels from an inlet collector together with fuel nozzles 6.
Installation
11. Install the distributor 3 fuels with new laying 5 on an inlet collector.
12. Insert plugs 2 and tighten boats the fuel distributor.
13. Connect the 6th contact sockets to fuel nozzles and record them clips.
14. Tighten fuel-supply lines with new sealing rings.
15. Fix by collars a returnable fuel-supply line 11 to the fuel distributor.
16. Connect a hose of 1 system of ventilation of a case of the engine.
17. Establish a cross branch pipe of the air filter.
18. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
19. Adjust hours.
20. Enter a code of anticreeping system for radio.
21. Launch the engine, warm up it up to the working temperature and check tightness in places of connections of fuel-supply lines.
Removal and installation of fuel nozzles (4-and 6-cylinder line engines)
SEQUENCE OF WORKS

Removal
1. Remove the fuel distributor together with fuel nozzles as it is described above.
2. Remove rotary clips from fuel nozzles of 3 (fig. 5.44).
3. Take out fuel nozzles from the fuel distributor.
Installation
4. Before installation 1 and 4 replace sealing rings new and slightly oil engine.
5. Insert fuel nozzles into the fuel distributor.
6. Put on rotary clips 2 fuel nozzles 3 so that they entered a nozzle uvula (it is shown by an arrow).
7. Install the fuel distributor together with fuel nozzles on an inlet collector as it is described above.
Check of technical condition of fuel nozzles
SEQUENCE OF WORKS

1. Launch the engine and leave it to work at idling rotation frequency.
2. At the working engine check by means of a stethoscope work of each nozzle for existence of the clicking sound. This sound is a consequence of opening and closing of the valve of a nozzle of a nozzle.
PREVENTION
If there is no stethoscope, it is possible to feel these clicking the screw-driver or fingers.

3. If you did not find characteristic sounds, and the engine works with interruptions, then it is necessary to check supply voltage, given to nozzles, resistance and tightness of nozzles.
Check of supply voltage and resistance
4. To check supply voltage, separate contact sockets of nozzles and between contacts establish a diode control lamp. Include a starter (the assistant is required), at the same time the light diode has to blink.
5. If the light diode does not blink, then malfunction can be in a rupture of an electric chain and in the control unit.
6. To check nozzle resistance, switch off ignition and connect an ohmmeter to both contacts of a nozzle. If resistance does not correspond to the required value, replace this nozzle.
Tightness check
7. Remove fuel nozzles together with the fuel distributor, without separating fuel-supply lines.
8. Connect contact sockets to nozzles.
9. Fix nozzles in suitable capacity.
10. Include a starter (the assistant is required). Compare streams of injection of nozzles. Streams have to have the form of a cone and to be identical.
11. Switch off ignition.
12. Disconnect contact sockets of nozzles.
13. Include ignition approximately on 5 with, without including a starter. Check tightness of each nozzle: within 1 min. from a nozzle of each nozzle no more than 1 drop of fuel have to flow out.
