7.2.2. Wear of coupling
At each operation of coupling because of the arising friction there is some wear of frictional overlays of a clutch plate. The conducted clutch plate, thus, belongs to the worn-out details, but the average term of its service corresponds to a run more than 100 000 km. The term of wear of the conducted disk generally depends on loading degree (for example, when transporting the trailer) and on the nature of the movement. Maintenance of coupling is not carried out as it is self-regulating.
TECHNICAL DICTIONARY
Coupling work
Coupling gap. When the pedal of coupling is not pressed, the gap in system of coupling allows to save the bearing of switching off of coupling from constant loading. This gap becomes less at wear of frictional slips (the pedal side play, on the contrary, becomes more).
Coupling switching off. When pressing a coupling pedal in the main cylinder of a hydraulic actuator pressure increases. It is transferred to the working cylinder located on the transmission, at the same time the rod of the working cylinder moves forward and sets in motion the bearing of switching off of coupling via the release lever. The bearing moves in the direction of a press disk, presses the ends of petals of a diaphragm spring, and the working surface of a press disk departs from the conducted disk. The conducted disk at the same time freely rotates between a flywheel and a working surface of a press disk.
Coupling inclusion. At a coupling pedal otpuskaniye petals of a diaphragm spring are straightened, and press the disk densely presses the conducted disk to a flywheel.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Coupling exit out of operation
The start of the car on high turns of the engine (start with pro-slipping) or on the 2nd transfer strongly wears out frictional overlays of coupling.
If you during the movement leave a leg on a coupling pedal, there is its slow constant wear. It long will not sustain even the best overlays of a clutch plate. Badly affects durability of coupling as well a habit to hold the car on rise by pedals of an accelerator and coupling.
If at the car standing on a red signal of the traffic light you always include the 1st transfer and hold squeezed out a coupling pedal, it results in wear of coupling too. In this case strong loading lays down on the bearing of switching off of coupling and the ends of petals of a diaphragm spring. Therefore release a coupling pedal, the forbidding traffic light signal burns so far, and include the 1st transfer on yellow light.
