8.3.13. Removal of a spring of a back suspension bracket

This work requires also special tightening adaptation. The spring on the car is in the compressed state and has approximately quadruple preliminary compression. Therefore during the work danger of getting injured is high. When replacing a spring pay attention to marking. Same treats rubber support which depending on model have different height.

SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Establish a back part of the car on supports.

2. Remove a casing of the cross lever for what turn off two bolts (fig. 7.14).
3. Disconnect a wire of the sensor of wear of brake shoes from the cross lever.
4. Outside establish a jack under the lever and lift the lever until the back bridge does not accept horizontal position. Make sure that the car is reliably fixed.
5. Install tightening adaptation from three parties of a spring so that whenever possible all rounds were blocked.
6. Squeeze a spring until then when it can be removed from cups.
7. Turn off the self-stopped nuts on the cross lever and remove them together with washers.
8. Lower the lever and take out a spring together with a rubber support.
9. If replacement is necessary, slowly unclench a spring and remove a rubber support.
10. Before the return installation check wear of a rubber support, if necessary replace it. For simplification of the return installation apply on support means for washing of ware.
11. Clear the lower cup on the cross lever, and also the top seat.
12. Establish the compressed spring in the lower cup so that the end of a round entered gearing on a cup.
13. Establish a bolt with the new self-stopped nut and a washer on the lever and turn on several turns.
14. Again lift the lever a jack that the back suspension bracket reached horizontal position.
15. Now tighten a nut on the lever the moment of 70 N · m.
16. Unload a spring and take out tightening adaptation. Check the clearness of landing of a spring in cups.
17. Finish installation and lower the car.
