8.4.5. Check of antisplash covers of a gear lath of steering

The gear lath acting from the protective case is protected by rubber antisplash covers on the right and at the left. The dirt and moisture getting through the damaged covers connect to lubricant of the steering mechanism and constantly influence as grinding paste a gear wheel of the steering mechanism that results in its bystry wear. Therefore worn-out antisplash covers need to be replaced in due time.

1. Examine antisplash covers, highlighting a lamp.
2. Having completely turned in turn wheels to the right and left side, examine folds corrugations of antisplash covers regarding possible cracks.
